We sell most of our bamboos in planter bags instead of pots. The sizes listed here (in litres) refer to the volume of the planter bag, and thus the volume of soil and size of rootball. 3 litre bags - 120mm x 280mm (roughly equivalent to a 200mm pot in volume) The 'Typical height' listed next to each size is the approximate height of the plant at time of purchase. Planter bags uses less plastic than pots - the less plastic thrown into the environment the better. |

A nice garden bamboo with green culms and cream striations which age to mottled black.
The New Guinea Black can be used as a smaller alternative to Bambusa Lako, which is often to large for smaller gardens. Though not as black as the Lako, it does have the same overall look and shape.
