A large bamboo with small leaves, and a very branchy and bushy growth habit.
The culms are erect with weeping tops. The small leaves gives it a 'fluffy' appearance which makes it look great when viewed from a distance.
It has significant branches all the way down to the ground, which makes harvesting timber and clump maintenance quite difficult as the branches get tangled in each other.
Edible shoots.
