Edible shoots and good quality timber. Its not a very ornamental bamboo, but the near solid culms still make it an important timber bamboo.

Straight, good quality timber. Edible shoots. This bamboo flowered gregariously in 2010 / 2011. The plants that we are selling now are grown from seeds collected.
Same as the atter, but with yellow striations on the culms. Good timber and edible shoots. This bamboo flowered in 2007, producing some viable seeds. The plants now sold are from these seeds.
