Platycerum bifurcatum (Elkhorn)
Bring the the deep tropical rainforest look to your backyard. Attach to any tree, log, palm or wall. We sell these in pots. Remove pot and tease out the roots, then use a wide strap or strip of shadecloth to tie to tree or log.
Climate: Prefers tropical or subtropical conditions, or warm protected position in temperate climate.
Light conditions: Part shade
Growth habit: Epiphytic
Growing conditions: High humidity - regular misting
Origin: QLD, NSW, New Guinea
The elkhorns can also be planted in hanging baskets to create hanging 'balls' of ekhorns. With time they will completely surround the basket to the point where the basket can no longer be seen.
