This is the preferred ginger for Thai cooking. Tight clumps of beautiful lush green foliage which produces cream flowers.
Native to southern China, it makes an excellent herb plant. The plant's rhizomes are prized for their sweet, spicy aromatic qualities and are grown in many parts of the world. A great addition to any edible garden.
Alpinia - May be grown in full sun provided plants are given adequate water, though plants will look their best when provided with afternoon shade.
