A hardy clumping ginger with thick lush foliage with a spicy scent when rubbed. Produces upright shell-like flowers. Great as a lush under-storey filler.

Climate: Quite cold tolerant. Grows well anywhere in Australia.

A bushy and evergreen tropical ginger that makes an excellent screening plant due to its dense growth habit. When you lightly brush against the foliage it produces a wonderful spicy fragrant.  May be grown in full sun provided plants are given adequate water, though plants will look their best when provided with afternoon shade.
