Asparagus densiflorus 'Myersii' (Foxtail Fern)
READ ORDERING NOTES BELOW - LIMIT OF ONE PER CUSTOMER
A very attractive evergreen clumping plant with green needle-like leaves. Drought-resistant plant that needs little care and looks bright green all year long. Looks great in hanging baskets, containers or as a groundcover. Ideal for coastal gardens.
The Foxtail Fern is very popular at the moment, and numbers are very limted. For this reason, there is a limit of one per customer. Shipping is not economical when ordering just one plant, so please make up orders with other plants to fill a box. Shipping becomes most economical when ordering at least 6 x 180mm pots.
Since numbers of the Foxtail Fern are limited, we will priortise orders that contain at least 5 or 6 plants, rather than orders that only have one or two plants.
We have a large backlog of customers waiting for stock, so please, if we do run out and can't supply you in this small batch release, please register your interest once again using the 'Out of Stock - Notify Me' link so that you get a notification when the next batch is released which should be in a few months time.
The Myersii cultivar (Foxtail Fern) is not to be confused with the Asparagus aethiopicus 'Sprengeri' (Asparagus Fern) which is a declared weed in many countries around the world, including Australia. The 'Sprengeri' is now considered a completely separate species to the Myersii, since the two have very different growth habits. The Sprengeri is quite invasive, and tends to have thin stems that do not stand up on their own, and sparse leaflets on each stem. The Myersii on the other hand is much denser, more upright, and most importantly, does not get out of control, staying in tight clumps.
