The use of this specially formulated oil is far superior to that of ordinary oils or varnishes. Wood oils generally dont penetrate the waxy surface of the bamboo very well, leaving the bamboo tacky, with little protection against the moisture and sun. Varnishes will usually peel off after exposure to moisture and sunlight - again due to the poor bonding to the waxy bamboo surface. Bamboo Rejuvenator and Protector will give you the best possible protection for your bamboo products and fencing.

Make sure the bamboo surface is clean and dry. If the bamboo is particularly dirty or mouldy, then use Bamboo Cleaner to clean the surface prior to applying Bamboo Protector and Rejuvenator. Apply one or two thin coats onto the surface by brushing or spraying.

1 litre of bamboo Protector and Rejuvenator should cover 8 to 16 square meters. For the bamboo panels, you will usually be able to apply a single coat on 10 panels using 1 litre of Bamboo Protector. This does not include coating the backside of the panels.

The second two photos is an old faded black bamboo panel which is treated with the black tinted Bamboo Protector. Note that the tint is quite dark (almost completely black), so its a good idea to wipe the off some of the bamboo oil with a clean cloth to create some highlights and a more natural appearance.
