Bowenia serrulata x spectabilis
A striking Australian cycad very similar to the B. serrulata, but without the serrations on the leaves. Emerging coppery-bronze before turning deep green, it forms an elegant clump from an underground caudex, ideal for shaded tropical gardens.

Origin: Northeastern Queensland
It is hardy in tropical and subtropical areas, in well drained soil. Prefers a protected moist semi-shaded or shaded position similar to its humid natural forest habitat.
Reproduction: Bowenia species appear to be pollinated by a species of Miltotranes weevil.
