Dendrocalamus minor
A beautiful ornamental bamboo - very large glossy leaves, clean smooth culms, long slender arching tops. Very similar to the popular Ghost Bamboo, apart from lack of striations, and less white culms.

Growing conditions: Moist, well drained soil. Keep well mulched.
Origin: China
Please note that there are quite a few variations of this species available in Australia. This bamboo flowered and went to seed in 2005/2006 and as a result most of the plants availalable today are either directly grown from seeds, or propagated from seed grown mother plants. As with most plants grown from seed, there can be quite a bit of variation in growth characteristics.
