A stunning feature heliconia, ideal for landscaping or cut flowers. Upright stems carry bright red bracts with a creamy base and contrasting dark green lip. Like other Orthotrichas, it flowers in the cooler months when other heliconias are not in bloom.

Climate: Prefers tropical or subtropical climates

Light conditions: Full sun to part shade

Growth habit: Clumping, upright
