Formerly Philodendron goeldii
A fairly rare yet easy to grow and hardy aroid which is popular among collectors. The spiralling stems with swirls of leaflets give this plant quite a dramatic appearance making it an interesting indoor plant or garden specimen.

Typical height: 1 to 1.5m
Climate: Prefers tropical / subtropical climate, but can be grown in warm positions in Temperate climates.

Origin: Central/South America
Thaumatophyllum spruceanum is sometimes known by an older name, Philodendron goeldii. Like all Thaumatophyllums, this plant (spruceanum) will develop thick trunks over time, giving the overall plant a bit of height.
