Zingiber zerumbet (Variegated Shampoo Ginger)
A variegated form of the shampoo ginger which produces a clear fragrant juice from the mature red cones which can be used as a shampoo and conditioner. The roots are also a valuable herbal medicine, usually ground. Dormant in Winter.
