Heliconia psittacorum 'Fuchsia'
A prolific Summer–Autumn flowering psittacorum with striking fuchsia and lemon-yellow bracts. The bracts are slightly smaller than many other psittacorums, but more than compensate with their intense colour and strong visual impact.

Climate: Prefers tropical or subtropical climates, or warm protected areas in Temperate climates (eg. Coastal Sydney)
Light conditions: Full sun to part shade
Growth habit: Slightly spreading
Growing conditions: Moist well drained soil, rich in organic matter
Flowers: Spring through to late Autumn
Excellent for cut flower production. Prefers consistently moist, well-drained soils enriched with organic matter. Can be grown in temperate climates, where plants will go dormant in winter, with foliage dying back while rhizomes remain viable below ground. Maintain a deep mulch year-round, including winter, to protect rhizomes and help retain soil warmth and moisture.
